I guess BCb gets the lists it deserves at this stage, both lists are narrow and are more remarkable for what they ignore or just don't get. A is the better one though. I feel B has somehow managed to escape much scrutiny as its been the beneficiary of a kind of anti-snob vote which has been happy to ignore its many flaws.

"U2 routinely spent a year in the studio...I have a theory: if you put four monkeys in the studio for a year with Lanois and Eno and Lillywhite, they would make a pretty good record, too."

A is a bit less one-dimensional but I'm sorry to have to say it, both of these blow.

Awful thing when that happens. I had a similar experience at a Tom Jones concert.

Both are deeply uninspiring but A is the lesser of two evils...

Not much in it. Real mixed bags.

Yeah, not too fussed on either... but B has the odd moment like 'Young Hearts Run Free' and the Mary Chain song that lifts it.

If you've got nothing to do, don't do it here.

A's a bit more interesting, but neither inspire (me).

Like the Newman and Albion Band, and it's up against Saxon, Iron Maiden and Hazel O'Connor. One of the easier choices.

I've enjoyed B's company in previous rounds but now it's just repeating itself ad nauseam. A is still a bit too worthy but it wins this one.

Not knocked out by either list, to be honest. Both look lucky to have got this far. B's latest five are uninspiring, but at least there's no jazz 'experimentation'.
