Love the Slim Harpo on B but it's not enough to save it. Well done on A who has the balls to pick Iron Maiden.

Both are inconsistent, but as usual, I give points for variety. B is far from perfect, but its scope is wider.

Both have songs I love, both have songs I hate, but B ekes out my vote.

A is solid but rather oppressively rocky. Still, there's at least some metal, which is the genre that dare not speak its name in the BCB Cup. B is more varied, but all over the pace - there's lovely stuff (great to see a nomination for Rachel Goswell!) but some dire choices too (the Angelic Upstarts? Good God!).

Ultimately, it's A - I'm not going to knock the rock.

A, but I have serious reservations about Saxon and Iron Maiden.

Both have a weakness for picking acts from the late seventies/early eighties whose appeal is more nostalgic than anything else..some of this stuff hasn't worn well. That aside, B is much the superior list here and is alive to more possibilities in music.

'Sarah' must be one of the limpest records ever made. A continues to get a mystifyingly easy ride from people.

Both mix good and bad (with quite a lot of bad...). B perhaps has less of the bad

I'm surprised these 2 are still in!

Punk and post punk is BCB's true love. It'll probably get to the final!
