I'd like to credit B for the Upstarts (and kill A for the bloody Hazel O'Connor) but it's just not working for me in that list. In fact I think it detracts from a far more interesting and well-considered attack on the cup and A's fun-time noise party is a better balanced competitor as a result.

Both have some real favourites and a few I don't care for. Very difficult but that George McCrae song is just part of my youth and I've had a soft spot for The Poacher since I first came across it on K-Tel's Music Explosion compilation in 1974.

A has better picks despite its narrow furrow (some gubbins as well, but there you go).

A reads more like a BCB cup list. So B it is.

Well that's the end of that then. Congratulations to list A - as a lifelong Hibernian sufferer I considered including Sunshine on Leith in my new 5 but left it out in favour of the Angelic Upstarts :-(

It's been fun anyway, and I'm glad to see there are other people who love Rock Your Baby too. And it felt good to see some of the people whose posts I most assiduously read and relate to consistently vote for my list - obrigadíssimo a vocês.

Os que votaram contra, vocês são uma cambada de chifrudos, vagabundos, malfodidos, vadios, sacanas cornudos cabrões chupadores-de-cacete filhos/as de puta etc. etc. etc.

What's that, Mark? "Anyone for a Lisbon Jolly Up?" you say?

Hmmm.

My Portugeso ain't the best, but I reckon it has something to do with suckers of dirty little cocks and whores' arses!

Tough titty, Tam - 3rd round is pretty good for a cup newbie.
