I think B is going to win this tournament (and I'm not just saying that because it knocked me out!). This competitor is playing a canny game, choosing BCB-friendly acts without going too much for obvious choices. Hence The Smiths appear in the new five, but with a Strangeways album track that often gets overlooked despite the fact that it's absolutely irresistible. Smart, as I say.

I'm not bitter....B

B looks like the best list left and A the worst so

B is painfully tasteful (despite choosing perhaps the thirty fourth best Smiths song ever). I get the feeling the poster just rang the Mojo office and polled the staff writers about their favourite songs, like, ever then just typed them on here (and so, will do brilliantly, I'm sure). I mean, it's a fine and dandy list but really, there's something missing, isn't there? A allows itself to like stuff that isn't supposed to be important, and I like that.

Believe me, I can resist it - and you know I'm a Smiths fan. Smiths lite.

Not so in love with the latest five, but B is still the one that beat me, so now I want it to go all the way. Fortunately there are enough good picks that I can do it without biting my tongue.
