A has some really great stuff (Bunnymen, Kylie, Subway Sect, etc.) and a few head-scratchers. B is that bit more fun and a tad funkier and more soulful, though. And yeah, Searching is a great pop song.

Aww shit

I can't believe I'm voting for a list with 2 Radiohead songs again

It was up against a really shit list last time :D . B's fresh five keep it ticking along nicely - "Double Shot Of My Baby's Love", HMHB and an appealing novelty instrumental hit from the 70s. That's the stuff!

I'm voting for A with some reservations. I do not approve of your new selections. Please try to do better next time, if there is a next time for you.

A's new selections have little to no merrit. I don't know what happened, but I want no part of it. You had me earlier (even despite 2 Radiohead choices), but this I can't accept.

B (not just for the above mentioned- I like that Jesse James track and 'Searching' is ballsy and pretty awesome)

Well, both lists have interesting, not to mention inexplicable additions in the next five. I mean, why that choice from Killing Joke's wilderness years rather than the raw power of their early work? And does anyone really rate 'Grooving With Mr Bloe' that highly? On the other hand, that's a wickedly funny HMHB choice, and John Foxx's 'Underpass' is a largely unheralded synth-pop classic.

A still has two Radiohead songs (why?) but great pop moments from Ladytron and Kylie. B has an unimpeachable Pere Ubu choice and Jay-Z's finest moment. Neither maintain that momentum, and I'm torn.

I am voting A - I just think that great pop moments are underrated on this board, and this list has more of them than most. Besides, that Chapterhouse record is an absolute peach - I still think the shoegazing backlash of the eary 90s was impossibly foolish.

One list has managed to add 5 tracks and end up looking even more narrow. The other one is OK.

A, who at least had the good sense not to go for a third Radiohead song.

I'll take B this time, but neither list was improved by the new selections.

Close - voting A for being a bit more esoteric.

Possibly my two favorite lists left... sadly Buddy Holly is going to get my vote over Wire the 15th (which was also on my list)... really these lists should both be in the quarter finals with mine... but I have to vote for one (I'm not a dick, err I mean abstainer...).

I'm sorry, but A saps my energy just looking through it. It's going down like a sack of shite chez Lamb.

I have certain reservations about B but I'm left with not much choice.

B

(I'm quite enjoying the 'Searching' track as well!)
