A, though it hurts to vote against that funkadelic track
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

Nothing much wrong with A, but B is packed to the rafters with great songs. The best list in still in the Cup, probably.

Then we could be vile about the music people really love rather than just some stuff they've chosen to try and win this peculiar competition. Fair dos though, A is the wierdest list yet. It's gotta be:-

A

Most of these lists are getting less and less interesting to me though. I'm with Coan on wondering what's up with "Session Man" as a Kinks favorite. Same goes for "People" as a Silver Jews selection. Probably the weakest on that album. And then it goes for super obvious things like "Please Mr. Postman" and "The World Is Yours" for a Nas track. Overall it's a list that I like but it could benefit from digging a little bit deeper.

Bravo.

A has some very compelling selections too, of course.

I've had to think about this one. A starts out superbly, but gets weaker as we go on. From DJ Shadow's incredible reinvention of hip-hop to The Replacements' dull trad-rock is one hell of a fall. B, meanwhile, shifts shape a lot and barely hangs together at all; love the Source / Candi Staton choice though (but which mix is intended - the original Frankie Knuckles-sampling mix or the starker Now Voyager mix?)

I think the opening of A is still good enough to get my vote, but it's going to have to do some work to get further.

Hopefully the former which is the much superior of the two.

The two best lists of the round so far so it';s a shame one has to go out.

The Candie Staton track is indeed fantastic, but then so id the CvB track, an that list also has The Replacements.

A 18 - B 31

I'm sure A's tracks are fine for some, but they are generally not for me.
