I wish it would stray a bit from the tried-and-true- I mean somehow else besides the Yeah Yeah Yeahs- but A is still much better, not just for sweeping me from the first round, but for avoiding any serious turds.

It's kinda depressing for a music forum to be proud of not knowing musicians.

Two quite similar lists, and how often have we said that? You could programme these together and it would make a very good radio show of direct, sparky pop with plenty of attitude.
I think there are better Bill Withers and versions of this song (for example Esther Phillips) and ultimately that may be the problem with A, it is impeccable but not that imaginative. This is where I feel B has the edge, it's not afraid to take the odd detour or left turn. Applause in particular for one of The Associates most eccentric recordings and Sly and Robbie's playful Boops.

A is yet another identikit list not even trying to extricate itself from the mud it's stuck in. B has some zippy selections and ends up an easy winner here.

Strongest match up of the night - these two would slug it out on the dancefloor, as A piles on the 70s art school favourites, while B prefers 80s flamboyance. I do think that the Sly & Robbie and YMO choices are sealing the deal for me, though.

Two great lists (with the odd howler in each) but B is better company on a first date, and I'm feeling flighty.

Ialmost have to flip a coin for this one... but just barely I think B scrapes by with the win.

My eyes have started to bleed thanks to these lists of utter knife-edged shite.

B makes me want to puke less.
