but is that a good thing? Girls Aloud? That and a very insipid song by elbow.

B has 'Here Come the Girls' on it. It's impeccable choice.
Unsure if that's my final answer.

You're probably too late anyway. Sadly.

B's a great list, but by my count it's going down in a close one.

Ah the 48 hour rule. Griff called it.

THe New Order track is very good but I'd rather have something off PC&L. Nice bit of Diana Ross.

Well. I'd like to thank Modernist, Snarfyguy, Davey, Toomanyhatz, whodathunkit, Red Heifer, TRGP, Mike Boom, Mission, and all the others who voted for my impeccable list.

Also thanks to Carlsson for abstaining from voting. No thanks to participants who vote for lists based on one or two songs or artists.

Those of you who voted for list A obviously have no taste. I hope you're happy with your pedestrian soul tracks, played out Bowie songs, subpar New Order selections, third-rate folk songs, and newfangled garbage.

It was a great list and you went down fighting. Take heart that you didn't get creamed like mine (among other similarly excellent lists, all gone).

Your next (last :( ) five were particularly inspired. That's the way to do it, folks- make it personal, make it diverse, make it matter. To know that Elizabeth Cotten is hipper than Portishead is to attain a level of hipness few ever manage. You'll always be in my personal pantheon.

I've been keeping track and this is one of (I think) only two times in both rounds that I've backed a list that hasn't won.

Clearly BCB is out of step with itself and the wrong list has advanced.

Brian's has been my favourite list thus far.
Good.
