List A is certainly diverse but still hit-and-miss; good to see The House Of Love appearing but that's a long way from being their best song. B might be more consistent but it doesn't really excite me. Nice Cale and Prince choice, but I'm beginning to think that 'Dry The Rain' is the most overrated song of the 90s.

I don't want to vote against 'Temptation'; there ought be more songs where the singer gets confused about eye colours. A

Both very good lists, but my vote for A should indicate the value of surprises.

That Debbie Taylor track smokes, by the way.

Griff has just rigged it, hasn't he? All the good lists get drawn together and all the dross is going through to meet him in the final. Disgraceful. These are both fine lists, and the tie is really too hard for me to call as it is - I'll have to check out some links and report back.

Two very strong lists so a hard decision but A seems to go deeper in its left field choices and has rather more consistency. Two of the best lists in the competition tho'

Man, this is tough. Two excellent lists of songs.

I'm going for B, 'cos it now has the gorgeous '..Pearly Spencer' and Flamingoes songs, to top off a list that would bring me great joy pretty much from start to finish. A is top notch, too, but there's a couple I don't know and a couple I don't care for.

I Only Have Eyes for You tips it for B

Any list that doesn't contain that song should be ashamed of itself.
