I don't think I voted for A last time (I only knew 4 or 5 of them and suspect he owns the MOJO psych box) and I probably voted for B, and B's extra 5 appeal more (I love the Felt track), although some links might have been useful in both lists.

It was raining when we drove up the two-lane highway through the long tunnel of trees that led into the black district on the south end of St. Martinville.

Now, I'd say these were both good lists, fairly matched.

A now has good stuff by Cluster and the Creation (my Creation faves never seem to tally with the usual choices, tho' - I never liked 'Making Time' too much).

B has added the gorgeous 'From The Underworld' (a song that's rarely mentioned here, I feel) as well as Bill Fay's finest moment.

It's really close, but I'm giving it to B.

I like the first half of B better, but it seems to lose steam. Over all, it's A.

In a new sponsorship deal, ITV will now be supplying live coverage of my voting. So here's their first broadcast:

"I had to think carefully over this one - there's quite a bit of....[*ITV ident appears, following by a brief test screen containing a countdown clock; then 30 seconds of a crappy car ad, which is in turn interrupted by one of those interminable BT ads with that punchable bloke from 'My Family'. Eventually, pictures of the masked man's voting reappear.*]...and that's why I'm voting for A!"

Wow - what a post! I'll never be able to reproduce the sparkling wit of that post ever again, so I'd better leave it at that.

If I were 10 years older I'd probably go for B, but I'm not, so A gets it.
If you've got nothing to do, don't do it here.

I really love some of the stuff on B - Primitive Painters, Fade Into You, Some Velvet Morning, Expecting To Fly - and those highs are enough to give it the nod despite A's obvious class and taste!

I think A's five additions are better than B's.

But I still think B is better overall.
You'd pay big bucks to know what you really think.
