I thought the lists were *yawn* until the last 5 choices of B went a bit left field.

Despite the Buzzcocks track in A, the better list is B

Two splendid lists that had me changing my mind several times, if I'm honest.

In the end, A shades it because I love Cortez the Killer more than any other song on either list but I feel bad for B.

I like that Shaggs song! Brilliant and brave choice. Unfortunately, most of the rest isn't as good.

So A gets it.

B wins a close run match, 32 - 35.

A was Davey.

A tough one to be bitter about. I lost an extremely close vote to an extremely good list. I think the feedback on this thread got it right - my list was probably more consistent, but B's probably had the higher highs (and probably intersected better with the collective taste of BCB).

It sucks to go out in the first round, but I don't think there is any shame to lose to a list with "Please Let Me Wonder", "Days" and at least six other undeniable monster picks.

Well done B.

Boo fucking hiss.

This years comp is going to be won by some chinless tit, who listens to morose, charmless bilge that 99% of the music loving world not only hasn't heard of, but would run a mile from if it was presented to them, free of charge, for life.

Someone like Django.
