Wow, that IS a great song!

Which songs have you been turned on to by the Cup?

Penk's offering of Sharon Tandy and Les Fleur de Lys's "Hold On" had me gasping at its greatness - It sounds like Lulu fucking Jimi Hendrix.

Last year Mike Boom's nomination of Ryan Adams' "Strawberry Wine" provided me with an instant favourite - I've played it as much as any other song over the last ten months.

You?

I'd never heard Beasley Street until you knocked me out of the finals with it. Fantastic record.

I remember telling you about that song in a PM two years ago in the aftermath of our tie and you never really replied back about it so I just assumed you hated it.

I've just sought out 'Beasley Street' on youtube. It is great, isn't it?

I've just got Diane, the eldest, to find them on Your Tubes for me and yes, both very good. Thanks!

Yes it's great but you must have known Dive Into Yesterday by Kaleidoscope already!
It was raining when we drove up the two-lane highway through the long tunnel of trees that led into the black district on the south end of St. Martinville.

No recent additions?

I must admit, I don't investigate every unknown song in the Cup but I try to expand my horizons at least a little and I've discovered a few gems along the way.
