34 - 40 to B after a late rally to come from behind.

A was Penk.

What a disgrace
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

It is despicable isn't it? An epic battle between the forces of exciting, wonderful good and narrow-minded, boring evil. They may have won the battle but they haven't won the war. Heads will roll for this.

Shame Slick Rick is leaving us so soon. I'd forgotten what a monster track that is. Bummer Penk

I'll be nicking three or four from Penk's list for my next five if I get through to Round Two.

Jilson Setters-The Wild Wagoner
The Painted Ship-I Told Those Little White Lies
The American Four-Lucy Baines

Sorry Penk, I've just been looking at the lists again and I can't believe I didn't vote for yours, especially as I sent you that Fire Engines CD. And you had The Congos.
I've never looked at a BCB Cup thread until this year, never mind voting in one, and I decided not to follow any links to things I hadn't heard before: 'first thought, best thought' and all that. So, I went for the over-familiar option.
Maybe I should consider things a bit more carefully in future, but in the interests of consistency I'll stick to the no links policy for now. I'm downloading the Slick Rick track now, though.

Well, I don't know any of these but I will investigate each and every one...

Because I'll say it loud and clear once again: in spite of my usually somewhat conservative taste, THE FIRST TEN WERE THE BEST FUCKING LIST SO FAR!
