You can be replaced you know.

You could stop voting for me... that might help.
It was raining when we drove up the two-lane highway through the long tunnel of trees that led into the black district on the south end of St. Martinville.

Nothing guarantees the scorn of the hoi polloi like gimmickry.

Need I have to remind you that we've had four BCB Cups and three out of the four were won by Americans.

Mind you, I don't know if last year's counts. I was done by this 'Moon' character.

I am indeed a New Zealander by birth , but live in America, Dallas to be precise, and have done for the last five years, so this is perhaps where the confusion lies.

I believe I am classified as a "Resident Alien" if that helps ? :P

You're American then. As is Billybob, who is also still in the competition.

So there, John. :P

I think there is a conservative streak in many of the British contributors to the cup, in contrast to many of the American contributors who look for a whole range of music from blues, soul and jazz to the outer reaches of psych to the personal vision of some outsider singer-songwriter. On the other hand many of the British voters would vote quite happily for a list comprised of 10 uk bands who released records between 1978 and 1988.
In that sense I would say they've recorded a pretty phyrric victory.

Yeah, I had seen that, looks like a load of fun. I'll take a look into it, see if its possible.
