A has one and a half good songs, B has none. A wins by default. It's Queen of the South v Cardiff though, isn't it?

B gets it all wrong with that Rod Stewart choice, and the wrong Beefheart and X-Ray Spex songs. A isn't perfect, but looks more sure-footed.

A

Great choices from Strwaberry Alarm Clock, Supergrass and Aretha. I love the X-Ray Spex song, but the rest of list B is meh.

That's cleared matters up. A straightforward win for A in this tie-up, B never gets started and Rock Steady and Station To Station would win it on their own, never mind the agreeable other selections; I wonder if this is from the compiler of the list I voted for previously? Doesn't matter, I suppose.

A's five are pretty much as good as it gets for me. I dearly love each song. B's pretty good too, especially Geno and Ghost Rider. But there can be no arguing with A's selection.

Sorry, A. I was with you all the way until now. I'm not a huge Suicide or Dexy's fan, but B's other three are too good to deny this time.

A chooses good songs, but Supergrass moves me little and the Alarm Clock moves me only on a very nostalgic level. A also plays it a lot safer this time.

Fine Beefheart choice from B but it's A by a mile

Despite picking the wrong tracks by most of the artists.

A's list is great, apart from the unpleasant Supergrass song- super Roxy and Bowie choices.

But B gets it, just 'cos it looks like it would shake me up a little more (apart from the Rod, which looks out of place). And that's important.

Well, one list already had Roxy and Bowie songs, so presumably that is not the list which picks them here.

I like A more, of this pair. All solid songs, whereas B only has 'Ghost Rider', for me.

But based on the assumption above, I liked B's list a lot more in the actual final. Can I vote A, knowing full well that it accompanies the far weaker of the two main lists?

No.

B it is. Probably not in keeping with the idea of the tiebreaker, but A deserves to lose for making it so obvious which was which.

...I didn't think of it like that. That means I've probably ended up voting against the list I've been actively supporting. Still I did genuinely prefer the five of A here and so it would be dishonest of me to switch votes now.

B

I wouldn't have chosen the same songs but overall it's more to my liking (and tastes)

Close - I go for A. B also let me down with choices from X-Ray Spex and Suicide which aren't among my favourites of theirs.
