B has variety and personality along with some great songs. A has some great songs, but is sorely lacking in the other qualities.

That was a vote for 'B' by the way.

Two really well-matched lists. It's difficult to choose between these.

The new five in each both add to, rather than detract from, the lists. A has the best new choice with that Chairmen Of The Board track, but B's new five is better overall.

After much back n forth:

When it comes to earning my vote, a good Left Banke selection can take you all the way. But now both lists have them represented, so neither list can count on lazy voting from Davey.

I'm going to go with A as there is simply more there for me on that list. "Please Let Me Wonder" in particular is a bit of a difference maker.

Sorry B. Really nice list as well.

B is a pretty worthy opponent but A has just kept the hits coming throughout the contest.

Both are far too retro, with very token new stuff- the lists with the interesting blends are all gone, sadly. Undeniably both have some great stuff. But A keeps improving- the inevitable Pavement notwithstanding- while B is consistently "more of the same."

Nice run, B- you even knocked out the best list in the whole cup- but the time has come to give o'er.

It looks like i was knocked out by the eventual winner, but my vote goes to A for covering all bases and managing to maintain imaginative choices like the splendid Chairman of the Board tune.

It's got to be A.

With 7 selections that could have graced my own list (Burning Airlines Give You So Much More, Echos Myron, Success, Pink Moon, See Emily Play, Shangri-La and Ghost Town) and easily the second best GBV selection in the entire Cup it's the next best thing to voting for my own list.

Tough luck for B which is also a very fine list indeed.

They're both good lists, but I think B hangs together better.

A

These are two lists I've ummed and ahhed over all competition. Ultimately neither have enough to keep me satisfied, but A is nice and sensitive and literary and B is full of a sort of excitement I'm rarely really in the mood for. So my nice, sensitive and literary sides win the day in this one.
