B shots himself in the foot with a dull last 5, bar a decent Etta James track. A pulls out Ghost Town.

I'll go A althought I have a hunch the winner will come from the other semi-final

A had 8 golden greats to B's 7.

It is also Hallogallo vs The Man as the best track which is also a narrow win for A
And if you tolerate this then your children will be next

...which is among the reasons I'm going for B. Ghost Town is fine but is overrated, and too many people my age relate it to an 'exciting', political teenage era they didn't actually have. They remember unrest and racial tension when in fact they were swapping football cards and playing Crossfire with Toby and Liza from next door.

A is a clever list but its Brit gerrymandering has come up against the buffer here. Richard Hawley or Josef K or Caravan or something might have saved it.

B has played a Go-betweens card - and should have played that before - preferably 2005.

B though ;)

Neither are really improving are they? A had a strong original fifteen or so, although it was a fairly safe selection in terms of its stylistic range. Taken as a whole it's not a list that excites though and I'm still perplexed it won its last round. B lacks really killer songs for me, but it does have the right spirit and I like its mix of genres and artists.

Really? I think B's last five were all killer, no filler.

River Of Orchids, Low Spark and Tears Of Rage. How does it get better? Absolutely inspired additions.

Both lists have gone backwards with their new 5.

B is slightly the better and more interesting list.

B's new 5 are far more my thing than A's, and the Knife selection is a bit of a wonder-card.

I've just listened to The Knife song. I was quite enjoying it until the vocal came in which sounded like Hazel O' Connor!

If I was on a road trip I'd be very happy with both of these playlists, but I'd punch the skip button much less when listening to B
