B has some really good picks I've never heard before - Michaelangelo, Go Back and Year of the Sun. I really like his psych picks in general. Unfortunately for B, A manages to more consistently pick tracks that I really love and comes out on top in this match.

Both great lists. I can't find fault with either. There are no songs I actively dislike on either list, and much that I love. Since it's the only criterion left for me to go on, I think the list that's closer to my personal taste is A.
You'd pay big bucks to know what you really think.

B has put up a superb fight and I have thus far been with him all the way. However, there are now too many things on A that I love outweighing what is more and more becoming a vibe thing for me with B. I hate to jump ship, but it's gotta be A.

Never really got Weekender, despite remembering Flowered Up more fondly than most here. Don't think it's even in their five best. None of which has much to do with the fact I'm voting B.

A by miles.
a bunch of dudes jamming but some of the abrupt edits serve as a reminder it owes a lot to technology. It finds ***** distancing himself from his musical past, but it sounds equally far from the dense abstraction his music would take on later

Really close this one but "She Is Beyond Good and Evil" clinches it for B.

So its A's bold colours Vs B's pastels, A's bold strokes Vs the subtle etching of B. I think A will win this tie and possibly the whole cup and it will be deserved, its probably the least timid, most exiting list. B shows nuanced and advanced tastes and bravely eschews Indie/alt , but again this stuff isnt difficult - take the Gordian Knot (Love plays the Porpoise Song). In some ways B is the logical conclusion to A, its what happens next, once the allure of the (relativley)known wears off and you seek new thrills (although its not as calculated as that). Voting for B is not to seek reflected glory but to encourage these detours through the alleyways. Well done A

I would vote for a, but it has Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Can't do it.

I had a strong feeling I would be drawn against this list and I knew that if I was I'd be up against it. And so it proved. No real grumbles, although my list didn't deserve to lose as heavily as it did. From the outset it was a list that tended to divide people; some people were very enthusiastic about it while it seemed to leave others nonplussed. I did get some very nice comments throughout from people whose taste I respect so thanks for that.
Good luck to A and good luck too to its opponent in the next round. They're gonna need it.
