Tough one when both lists are so eclectic. B's additional five are so and so, the Stetsonic track is ok though very much of its time, the Camper Van track is fun but ultimately lightweight. Then there is the gimmicky "Polyphonic Spree". Marcus Garvey is a nice choice however.
A makes the peplexing choice of the dirge-like "Young Bride", a dreary track from an otherwise very good album. Great Jackie Wilson choice, though.
Very difficult. The Stardust track is probably the track that I like the most on here. But there is slightly more I love in A.

Both lists would clear the floor within minutes. Even cleaners would fuck off.

Abstain.

Although A has some solid choices, B wins it rather handily.
a bunch of dudes jamming but some of the abrupt edits serve as a reminder it owes a lot to technology. It finds ***** distancing himself from his musical past, but it sounds equally far from the dense abstraction his music would take on later

You've fucked up with the draw here, Griff. All the good lists got drawn together last night, and then the dregs came out of the hat last. Pop a few lists in the oven before the quarter final draw, eh?

I keep thinking I'm about to vote for one or other of the lists and then I see another rubbish song that puts me off. B is slightly less depressing.

Two good lists I think and not much between them at all. Maybe B pulls out the slightly more leftfield choices and that sways me.

Both have a mix of the great, the middling and the plain barking. To be fair to B, there's now a solid clutch of great songs in there - Stardust, The Fall, Womack and Womack - and plenty of interesting lesser moments - the Camper Van Beethoven is always fun, the Stetsasonic is buggin'.
