The Jackson 5 is stupendous but B has run it's course. A

A has more interesting tracks for me, but B's list hangs together far better as an entity. And now I'm not really sure whether I am meant to be judging them on these songs individually (as representative of their taste) and who therefore has the higher number of knock-out punches, or which of them is creating the better mix tape. If it's the former it's A while the latter is B.
I'm going to have to plump for B

Both good lists that I've already voted for, but I like A a little bit more - it's tight though.

This one is really, really close with both lists containing more than their fair share of gems. And yet when i list the tracks that go beyond merely being excellent and actually into being special to me, I get this:

A:

Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart
Jimi Hendrix - Wind Cries Mary
Television - See No Evil
Go-betweens - Right Here
Neil Young - Powderfinger
Teenage Fanclub - Starsign

List B:

"Hey! Mona Lisa" - The Mighty Wah!
"We Could Send Letters" - Aztec Camera
"Lately I've Let Things Slide" - Nick Lowe
"Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology)" - Marvin Gaye.
"The Winner Takes It All" - Abba
"I Want You Back" - Jackson Five
"Brother Brother" - The Kane Gang
"Rhapsody In Blue" - George Gershwin

Put that way, it's clearly B

A has Can at their most compact and airey, dynamic Burma, the Falls best,hi-tension Television, nostalgic Huskers, trancey Buckley, goofy Sly,yearning Neil Young and TFC teaching Ride a thing or two about blissing out. B has Supergrass as Stooges, vunerable Beatle George, pleading Marvin, beaty QOTSA,widescreen and ambitious Propaganda, sunshine Jacksons and slinky Beefheart. B has more of a pop suss and A is a little narrower in scope, but it is better focused for me

A by a touch. Lots of songs I love in both.

Ha Ha Wanker!

Seriously, I've really enjoyed this year. I very nearly didn't particpate, but I'm glad I did. For that Griff, take a well deserved bow, mate. Big thumbs up.

To the owner of the list that beat me - very well done. A very good list, which was a more than worthy opponent. No shame in losing to a list like that.

Finally, I hope it's obvious my list was( very much) from the heart. It's stuff which were on CD's by the PC, having been played in the past three weeks or so. It is (I believe) one of the more quirky lists in the last 16. Unfortunately, it won't have anything added to it, but I think it stands up pretty well as it is.

Again, best of luck to my victor - and indeed to the 8 left in. May the best person win.

AND LET'S KEEP VOTING.
