B, particularly for the great call on 'Northern Lites'. The normal version is great but then there's also the utterly marvellous Teenage Fanclub-style version from the last tour.

It's close (all the matches are at this stage) but this has to be B

B might ultimately be a winner. Digging out 'Return of Django' is a big checkmate move.

Both a bit too retro - but good lists - I'm going for B, who might well add some new stuff next time, eh?

Re: BCB CUP 2008 - Round 3 Match 3
This is a toughie.
A gets thumbsup for Arcade Fire, QOTSA, Primal Scream, White Man..., Culture and the Waterboys, but thumbsdown for two boring and obvious reggae tracks from Marley and Cliff, the first one I would gladly never hear again after hearing blare out of every third world bar I have been in in the last 15 years, I have heard too many dreadlocked wankers murdering on an acoustic on an otherwise idyllic tropical night to have anything but hatred for this and most of Mr Marley's Leg End album, and I'm bot that keen on Jimmy Cliff either.
B Gets big thumbsup for Reward, 1970, Eloise, The doors, The New York Dolls, Babies by pulp ( is itthe best song ever, it must be one of the most popular for us ) Northern Lights and teh Upsetters.
A comes down to 2 greats Primal Scream and White Man......., B gets the same for Reward and Babies
I really can't choose here.
I'd be happy for eith or these lists to win so I will let everyone else make the decision , I may come back and vote if it is tied or something.

A, because the five new ones rock my boat more (especially Japan & the Waterboys)

A because Touch Me is like listening to Death sing a funeral dirge at Misery's house.

Not a lot to like in either of the extra fives if I am honest. A has more stuff I adore, but more I hate too. B seems to be just grinding me down, but sneaks this one through being less offensive in the bad bits.
