I preferred A's original choices, and, while B has improved, I still think A wins this tie

Take your pick.

A on the strength of The Clash and The Standells, and despite Flanagan and fucking Allen.

Why couldn't I have been drawn against one of these two ?? :x

Two really interesting lists, A's is particularly distinctive for recognising pre-50's music. Its individuality certainly makes me warm to it. But B is a good list that has become even greater with its additional selections. "Do The Strand" is of course as exciting a statement as you can get, containing that unique Roxy dialectic of seeming both primal and sophisticated.
And for anyone who doubts that disco could be as experimental and progressive as any genre then they really should listen to Arthur Russell's wonderful production on "Is It All Over My Face".

It's always good to see folks looking back pre-rock'n'roll for these lists but, fuck me, Flanagan and Allen? A is still a great list though.

B but neither list has any great 'structure' or 'feel'.
In science, the most important criteria for success is not being stunningly full of shit.
