B

Tough break for A since it's a good one too but B comes closer to my own territory.

Two fantastic lists. Both deserve to go very far, I'd say. A just beats B 'cos there are more there that'd shake my soul.

Again, an easy choice. I liked B a lot in the first round, and poignant new choices from Soft Cell and The Ruts suggest this list would have beaten most of the second lists, in my eyes at least.

As it is, B gets a deserved vote for this tie.

Very very close, lots to like on b but I'll go for A because of

Panic In Detroit - David Bowie
Israelites - Desmond Dekker
Game of Pricks - Guided By Voices
Pretty Persuasion - R.E.M.
Maybe I'm Amazed - The Faces
Why - The Byrds
Matilda Mother - Pink Floyd

Damn close, but A. Comes down to the newest five, in the end.

Lots of Swell Maps this year, isn't there? A for me, two decent but flawed lists.

A's new five wipe out the whole of B especially "Why".

A, an already strong list has become even stronger. Only a couple of misssteps, great artists with great choices generally. Adore the Bowie, Faces, REM, Beefheart, Dekker, Nilsson, Modern Lovers, Byrds, Swell Maps, Pink Floyd and Otis. Wonderful stuff which, Iggy, Buzzcocks and Soft Cell aside, B is nowhere near.

Quite like both of these in the main, although there's still a bit of chaff involved in both. Not convinced B has done all they could with their additional 5 bit I'll call it their way anyhoo.

Not much in it at all. The GBV just swings it I think.
