B is extremely "tasteful," isn't it? A's that bit more fun, though, and tunes into my wavelength pretty well.

In some ways B feels like the better list as the quality of artists is so good, but it lacks a certain immediacy. A has the popular touch, tracks like "Memo from Turner" and "Many Rivers To Cross" have a direct, visceral quality which is hard to ignore.

I think I probably prefer B's new 5 to A's, but overall I'm going to have to go with A, mostly because it recognises music made within the last 30 years.
