A has strenghened with wonderful Stina and Talking Heads (their best known and their best - how often does that happen) but remains frustratingly difficult to love despite some nice choices. B seema to be a little more adventurous and although it includes things i'm indifferent about (Aphex, not one of LCDs best) it hangs together well and the inclusion of the lovely Band/Dylan tune with its sliding Curtis chords and fills pushes it over the edge

"Once in a Lifetime" is one of the best singles ever and the Stina Nordenstam is an inspired addition but overall A blows hot and cold for me. Mind you, so does B but "Goin' to Acapulco" is as inspired as the Nina song and "At Home He's a Tourist" is as gloriously strident as anything this side of The Pop Group. In the end it's a very close call but I'm drawn to B at the death. Hard luck, A.

Not overly convinced by either, there's something slightly gimmicky in B's eclecticism. It is the stronger of the two here though.

Sadly Basement Tapes doesn't count quadruple. Ernie K Doe seals it.

Easy win for B with 80 points, 8 full markers and 7 nul point, 10s for Donna and Gangof. A gets a measley 25 with a new 10 for The Heads.

I like B a lot, apart from the stuff I don't like at all

B is definitely more my thing.
I am not hugely excited about the list, though.
