I voted against A in the first round and loved B.

However, A's 5 extra are far superior and make it very close indeed.

That said, I think i know who B is and it just stays in front by a nose.

List A:

Rate:

"America" - Original Broadway Cast of "West Side Story" - inspired choice
"Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology)" - Marvin Gaye.
"The Winner Takes It All" - Abba

And I hardly know anything else.

List B:

RATE:

Ann Peebles- I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down
The Shangri-Las- Out in the Streets
Culture- Get Ready to Ride the Lion to Zion
The Congos- Fisherman
Warren G & Nate Dogg- Regulate - I changed my mind on this since Round 1
Marvin Gaye- That's the Way Love Is
The Paragons- On the Beach - too much old school reggae though

DON'T RATE:

A Tribe Called Quest- Excursions - has anyone who enjoys rap enjoyed them?
The Orb- Little Fluffy Clouds - I once obsessed over this.
Stereolab- French Disko
Charles Mingus- Better Git It in Your Soul
Pere Ubu- Heart of Darkness - yuck

In the end it's B for having more greatness, and more reggae, and taking more risks. But America almost got A through on it's own.
One night, an evil spirit held me down
I could not make one single sound
Jah told me, 'Son, use the word'
And now I'm as free as a bird

I still don't know which version of

"Dark End Of The Street" - Ry Cooder

A means

but these additions are near perfect:

"Hung Up On a Dream" - The Zombies
"No One Knows" - Queens Of The Stone Age
"The Winner Takes It All" - Abba
"Duel" - Propaganda
"Be My Thief" - Elvis Costello & Burt Bacharach

and leave no chance to B...

Very, very, very tight. I really do like B's and I felt a bit shit for not voting for it in the last round. It was up against a very similar list. This time it's taking on something slightly different but again I'm torn. I love the Aztec Camera, QOTSA and ABBA selections in A ... but they're up against a lot of very good stuff, including a few choice reggae cuts (although I'd prefer something else off Heart of the Congos, like 'Nicodemus').
