A Cracking extra five. The Magazine track in B's list is good, but, sorry, it loses out.

'I Need You' - The Kinks
'Reward' - The Teardrop Explodes
'1970' - The Stooges
'Eloise' - Barry Ryan
'Touch Me' - The Doors
'Personality Crisis' - New York Dolls
'Paperback Writer' - The Beatles
'She May Call You Up Tonight' - The Left Banke
'Surf Rider' - Dick Dale
'Babies' – Pulp
'Let's Hang On' - Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons
'Fall On You' - Moby Grape
'Psychotic Reaction' - The Count Five
'The Light Pours Out Of Me' - Magazine
'Jack On Fire' - The Gun Club

Damn it, B decides to pick a Moby Grape track I was gonna save up for the next round and then shamefully decided against- that's the best thing here, but you can't go wrong with the Frankie Valli, "Psychotic Reaction" and the Magazine track.

It just keeps on hitting. This will be a contender for the title!

It has The Kinks and The Doors and a rather wet Beatles track. And The Gun Club!?

On a less personal note, it has only one token track from the last 25 years!

I'd have much preferred "Who Loves You" or even "December '63 (Oh What a Night)" but it's still B, fine though A is. It's a bit of a one-dimensional list but its heart is in the right place and it crackles with excitement and hangs together really well. I'd like a tape of it.

B.

You must have misread the list! It was Paperback Writer.

"Wet"?

It practically punches you in the mouth and leaves you lying gratefully on the floor, happy that you were done for by the champ.

Give over.

Except for the great Grape selection, B's new 5 is leaving me cold. A for me.

B now has the very exiting Moby Grape and Valli selections, along with the so-so Count Five (never understood why this seems to be the prefered choice from nuggets) and Magazine. A's choices are perfectly in step with the preceding 10 - a few good artists with indifferent to good selections.

B wins as even though it is a touch predictable it does have ten or so extremely strong tracks

a 52 vs B 78. B wins it on the strength of their first 10, their second 5 was meh!, A got a 10 for BOC, a song I was toying with including in my list.
