I don't think the new five added a great deal, but B wins this easily, for me.

Children of the Sun - The Misunderstood

A

Do you mean "I Can Take You To The Sun" by the Misunderstood?

I tend to agree with DD - neither new five add a whole lot to either list. A is more varied, but B is more surefooted. Besides B now has Magazine onboard....It's B then.

No there is a Misunderstood track called that. Great song.

B is a stronger selection all round

B lacks a bit for variety (pretty much all white boys with guitars) but a couple of the new additions do at least swing it away from being the canon-rock behemoth it threatened to be. And it's better than A.

B for me, too - despite a lack of variety, it'd be hellish fun. A just doesn't excite me as much, altho' of course there are some excellent choices there.

Tough one. A has some stand outs, but boiling down to the new 5 for each B edges it for the Gun Club and Four Seasons vs Gene Vincent (sorry A)

Both lists are still top notch. That "Byrds/Paul Simon/Misunderstood" thing is a bit of a triple whammy for me.

Three mighty tracks on A are enough to squash 10 good ones on B.

B may seem a tad one-paced, but who cares? Its mostly great and the Count 5 and Magazine additions are highly welcome.

I am now more enthusiastic about B than I was in the first round.

Both are fine lists and both are improved by the additional five tracks. Despite the presence of "Children Of The Sun" (which I used in last year's Cup), David Thomas and "Atlas", I think I have to go with B.

B was a convincing winner in Round 1 but having played so many big hitters I thought it might be vulnerable this time around. As it is it is they have managed to keep the momentum up, in fact the Moby Grape track is probably my favorite song on the list.

A is not a bad list at all but whilst it beats B for variety there just aren't enough tracks that I really like.
