A for the Costello mainly, but none are ticklling me overwhelmingly

What the hell is it with the Shangri Las? Nonetheless, it's B for me. More adventurous choices, though both have lots of songs I like.

Quite equal in terms of the quality. But B takes me to more unexpected places. There's a firmer sense of adventure at play.

B. A is pretty much quality throughout but loses points for being a bit obvious. B looks weaker at first but there are some brilliant tracks in it. The Lovin Spoonful, The Shangri-Las and The Impressions sway me. Brave but worthy Roxy choice as well.

List A looks like the playlist of some classic rock radio station, while B looks a little more quixotic (Roxy Music's final LP? Slade?). But I do think that generally A has better songs (an effortless classic from the Bunnymen, a tense masterpiece from Costello), so it gets my vote.

A has some fantastic songs, that's undeniable but loses points for lack of adventure and Moby fucking Dick.

B has the sensational Jackie Wilson song, a nice Lovin Spoonful and more spark of life.

It may be a little on the uninspired side but I like almost every single song he's picked. I really can't say the same for B.

Despite the inclusion of Moby Dick, A takes this one easily.
If you've got nothing to do, don't do it here.

B is just fantastic. It could only have been improved if they'd gone for the oft-overlooked genius of the first of the 'Caroline Says' songs from Berlin, rather than the unlikeable II.
