I do like a theme, and some of the girl songs are great songs. Chosen with finesse, obviously because certain less-good girl songs do not appear. So I'm saying, B, you were great. But I'm voting A because A is speaking to me.

It certainly appears B has done some effective canvassing but really, no Girl Afraid or Ride's Chelsea Girl? No Sunday Girl?

And the horrific Cyndi Lauper song?

It's a good list, of course, but i've got to vote

I'm gonna say A. The Os Mutantes is inspired and the rest is only a notch less inspired.

B has irritated me from the start, I must say.

as much as i've loved B's wonderful little escapade (and there really is some great stuff on there), A is an absolutely top-notch list which is quite impossible to resist. wonderful stuff*.

A.

*have i mentioned before that i know dr alimantado's daughter, btw?

i love that song, by the way. i heard it in a bar a couple of weeks ago and made a mental note about a possible BCB cup inclusion. of course, i was completely rat-legged at the time. still love it when i'm sober though.

Quite possibly it was also that the title of the song reflected this persons feelings about the competition and how much fun it has been. :D

I love it. Completely unpretentious choice.

That said - "Time After Time" is even better. Though I realize it would have messed up the theme. :D

Tougher with the additions of Cyndi Lauper (though I do get it  ) and Os Mutantes (both thumbs aloft), but I'm sticking with B anyway as it stuck to the concept with good songs pretty consistently and avoided tokenism.
