B has Freedom - probably the worst record in recorded history.

B
, definitely.

Freedom is merely terrible
Paranoid Android is terrible and pretentious.
I'll go for A, the connoisseurs choice.

Besides which B picks Falco and ELO who are perfectly decent.

I can't find any hatred in my heart for any of these. I actually like the Lionel and Queen songs, and I love the Radiohead song. I think A is bringing too many pet hatreds to the table, and ignoring many legitimately bad songs.

Brother man...

The KISS song?

Ooof. Like a bacchanalia of cats. I just happened to speak to some shit today (or is it shite?), and the shit told me it was embarrassed to be associated with that song, and I happen to like KISS. Big fan for a long time.

Meanwhile, listening to that song should be considered an act of violence.

Mmmmmmmm...I could be wrong, though....

Also, 2112 Overture kicks supreme ass.

'B' is dutifully heinous, but it doesn't go for the throat. A all the way.

I can't muster up any nausea at all! May have to come back to it.

B is much worse...so B it is.

Radiohead- particularly that song- has no business being here. And there are far worse Queen songs, too. "Fat Bottom Girls," for one.

B all the way.

This seems like ground we've covered before.

Anyone who thinks any Radiohead song is worse than "You're Having My Baby" is carrying way too much dislike for Yorke around. OK, he's a pretentious twit, I get it. I feel that way about Morrissey, but at least I admit that it's a prejudice that makes me dislike the music more than it deserves. When Moz opens his mouth I start to cringe immediately, whether he's singing or talking. But I'd never put a Smiths record on this list. Whatever the personal affect on me, they're just not that bad.

And what the hell is wrong with "I Like It"? Its just a daft little pop song doing no harm to nobody.

i'd like to carry across all the arguments for (that is, against) the radiohead. that was just cheek on the part of the compiler.

Autumn Almanac is a daft little pop song too, but I hope you are with me in hoping for visceral warfare for those who thought we might like it.

Oh.. and... when some of these lists got commented on when the site was having problems... I believe the point was that some people were selecting from some generic list of 100 bad song lyrics.. anyone care to put that list up here so we can see the lists are original!?

It depends how you define these things. It's a turgid and long winded exercise in self-importance. If that floats your boat then fine.

I never thought I'd see Paranoid Android in this competition, it single-handedly nullifies everything else on that list.

But it's not about liking it is it? It no more deserves hatred than a million other pieces of pop fluff. Its artists who step up to the plate with something "meaningful" who are risking a kicking.
