First of all...Muskrat Love was Captain and Tennille, not America. That's a tenth deduction. Secondly, List B still has 'Mammy' and will be tough to beat.

Freak out. Far out.

i actually like 4 of a's songs, so B it is.
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

smoke blows out of ears. I might be on the road to self-destruction like that android in that old Star Trek episode if I didn't like the disco version of 'knock on wood'

A it is!

Whilst I applaud picking the unpredictable, I dearly love "Midnight At The Oasis" and rather shudder that anyone can't see the wonderfulness of it let alone think it bad.
I'll go B then

A scores a bit higher on the crap-o-meter, but both have some things that are not so bad. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with "Midnight at the Oasis."

Oops - you've embarrassed yourself there.

I've just checked who actually wrote it - largely forgotten Texan Willis Alan Ramsey apparently. Minor hit for America in 73, big hit for C&T in 76.

I actually don't mind any of these, though I can see why they are there:

mm mm mm mmm - crash test dummies
i'll be there for you (theme from friends) - the rembrandts
opposites attract - paula abdul feat. a cartoon cat
knock on wood (disco version) - amii stewart

So despite B otherwise picking some real minkers, A gets my vote

B is worse for me. Cher's "Believe" might be the worst song ever. I had forgotten about it...thanks for the reminder. That means a vote for B.

There's good R'n'B on A!

'I Was Made For Loving You' is great, and 'Trapped In The Closet' is just so hilarious that it becomes far better than R Kelly's usual dirges. A hasn't got the hang of this....

isn't as mind-numbingly terrible as it could be, but it gets my vote.

Trapped in the Closet is far, far too ridiculous to be truly awful. It really is best seen in the context of the unbelievably daft video that R Kelly directed to it. 30 minutes of soap opera gold! In fact, as terrible as A is, you could almost get some guilty pleasures out of it- were you a particularly masochist individual.

B on the other hand, is just appalling all the way through, in a rather depressing way.
It's before my time but I've been told, he never came back from Karangahape Road.
