Tom Petty may be a brave choice but American Girl is a great song.

Cloe, because both lists are kings of the Meh!, all 3s and 2s.

A gets a 5 for th eOrb and B gets one for the Crystals.

A 46 plays B 42

B has a strong middle group, but seems to lose its way near the end. A has a strong opening ten and a solid if unspectacular following 5, but has really raised its game in the last lot with some excellent, idiosyncratic choices.
It's before my time but I've been told, he never came back from Karangahape Road.

Two very good lists - I'm actually sad one of these has to go out. B has an interestingly Antipodean flavour, and makes good choices from Nick and The Triffids; plus, from American rock, there's a fantastic Throwing Muses song. Good work.

But A has that little bit more variety - as a mix tape, it would keep the listener consistently entertained. Of the new choices, that wonderfully quixotic Orb track is inspired.

A, but I hope whoever wins this tie goes far.

Takes guts to pick American Girl, but I love it - so B.

Two pretty good lists. Both a little obscure but still interesting and still quality choices. B gets my vote by a slim margin. Like the Petty and Stones choices.

Neither of these lists really touch on my tastes much. I'll give it to B and find myself surprised if I vote in favor of either of these in the next round.

B's got a nice line in aussie rock, in rock generally, but A just has better songs

A continues to excel. Anyone sticking in two quality reggae tracks at this stage, with votes at such a premium, is alright by me.

Don't love either of these though both have a few songs I do love. B by a hair.
