B if only for A choosing the wrong version of (I Know) I'm Losing You.

Both good lists, but Å does more for me.
If you've got nothing to do, don't do it here.

I call bullshit. It's not the wrong version, it's just a different version, and a fucking good version at that.

It's the unholy Nick and Amy show again!

A sort of looks good but I can't find anything to get that excited about. And The Cars are a definite no -no.
B has some nice early reggae, a good Lee Dorsey (though there are better) and the inspired choice of Twinkle!

Ok, A has Babylon's Burning which made my Round 2 list last time. However, B has Lee Dorsey, that fantastic Pharcyde track and Into My Arms, which only crops up so often because it's ace.

It's B.

Did The Faces even do it? I have a Rod Stewart solo version but not The Faces.

But A gets my vote regardless.

A pedant writes:-

Except its on a Rod Stewart album. But yes it is my alltime favourite Motown cover.

CCR, The Ruts and Jimmy Reed (and the above) make A a clear winner.

There's a live version on the box set, iirc.

B gets my vote. I had that Dorsey song in my list last year and that Pharcyde track is great. Aesop Rock and Heptones seal the deal, despite A having some pretty good choices.

Fuckin' A, maaan. Even though I think that version of "I'm Losing You" is Rod solo rather than Faces, isn't it? B's got some good songs- and definite points from me for picking "Jolene"- but A's just better. I admit I penalize people for including Bright Eyes. (And though I don't really know Amy Winehouse, I get sick of seeing her on these lists.)

A choses the wrong tracks by abba and the church (there are quite a few songs by the church i love but that is most definitely not one of them, commendably obscure though it is) whereas B choses songs by bright eyes and neko case which, whilst not necessarily being quite the ones i'd go for, are fine indeed. this much makes me trust B that bit more.
