Not much in it. I'll go with B for the Donna Summer, which is pretty much an instant vote-winner.

A for me. More things that I want to hear.

A despite the wrong Sweet track, the tympanum-piercing shriekathon of the Delays, shitty Lips and the same Beatles track every other sad fucker has chosen.
B almost had it with Donna Summer but let itself down immensely with the dull as ditchwater Teenage Fanclub, the teeth-gratingly piss-poor Velvet Underground, Van bastard Morrison and a sub sub sub standard Who track. Shame on you.

Quite similar vibe to these, at least to my eyes. A gets it, more to do with how I'm feeling tonight as much as anything else. Sorry B.

A has:

Fox On the Run - Sweet
Cupid – Sam Cooke
Holidays in the Sun – Sex Pistols
What Becomes of the Broken Hearted? – Jimmy Ruffin
One Nation Under A Groove – Funkadelic
Pills - Bo Diddley

B has:

The Beach Boys - Don't Worry Baby
The Flamingoes - I Only Have Eyes for You
Van Morrison - TB Sheets
The Velvet Underground - I'm Waiting for My Man
The Platters - Smoke Gets in Your Eyes
Hank Williams - Jambalaya
The Who - Disguises
The Kinks - Wonder Boy
Donna Summer - I Feel Love
Isaac Hayes - Walk On By
The Jaynetts - Sally Go Round the Roses

So B not only has more good choices but picked the right songs more often i.e. Fox on the run & Cupid are good but not the best sweet or Sam Cooke songs.

Hard to vote against Pills & Holidays in the Sun but B it is.

Certainly the above are not the best songs bt these artists either...if so, heaven help us. Even though there are other Sweet songs, starting the list with Fox sounds very neat to these ears...A has got Sex, Drugs and Rockand Roll.

B

Tough call but I can't vote against Hiram, not even in he's in the company of Van Morrison.
You read that in a book, didn't you?!

Gosh, and to think I was actually ahead at one point. Still, 24 - 20 isn't a landslide.

Oh well, I was up against a fine list and I appreciate the support my list got.

I would have gone in out in the next round even if I'd squeaked through this one, anyway.

Congratulations to A and good luck to everyone still playing!
