I don't think it's so close. Maybe if Don Covay were doing Sookie Sookie it would be closer.

Both have really compelling selections, but also choices that make me want to run. Totalling up the goo 'uns:

Do You Realize? - Flaming Lips
Sookie Sookie – Grant Green
Cupid – Sam Cooke
Holidays in the Sun – Sex Pistols
Rock and Roll – Velvet Underground
Monkey Man – The Maytals
Pills - Bo Diddley

B....

The Beach Boys - Don't Worry Baby
The Flamingoes - I Only Have Eyes for You
The Platters - Smoke Gets in Your Eyes
Big Star - Oh, My Soul
Huey 'Piano' Smith - Don't You Just Know It?
Donna Summer - I Feel Love
Isaac Hayes - Walk On By
Teenage Fanclub - Everything Flows

B just edges it, though I'm curious about Pills....
Only time will tell if we stand the test of time.... - Sammy Hagar

B for all the reasons stated above.
Burt Bacharach will always triumph over Flaming Lips. It would be a sad world if he didn't. (It should have been the Dionne Warwick version though.)

Close, but the inclusion of that plagiarist Jansch doing Jimmy Page's "Black Mountainside" swings it to A.

Although you could equally say Sam Cooke will always triumph over My Bloody Valentine. It would be a sad world if he didn't.

Yes, but My Bloody Valentine will always triumph over Flaming Lips.
It would be etc.

Seriously, Sam Cooke (at his best) is of course miles better than My Bloody Valentine. Anyone who says different must be deaf from going to all those My Bloody Valentine concerts.
But the difference in quality between Bacharach and Wayne Coyne is far greater. Far, far greater. Far, far, far greater.

Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

Not much in it. I'll go with B for the Donna Summer, which is pretty much an instant vote-winner.
