I like both these lists in the way I like chicken and vegetable soup - and that's very much and sincerely. But the only thing which really gives me a rush is the Public Enemy and Donna Summer in B.

the masked man wrote:Very, very hard. A has plenty of my favourites, but is perhaps a little too narrow focussed on (admittedly excellent) classic and alt-rock styles. But what choices - spine-tingling tracks a-plenty.
B is also very good, but casts its net wider to good effect. Not everything is great, though - I never liked that Springsteen song and I would have gone for a different Public Enemy track.
Ohhh...it's B by a whisper, partly due to the fact that it had two tracks from my own doomed list. I feel it would overall hold my attention better.
Good contest, this one.
Hopped up on flu medicine, I can only agree with the above. B
It's before my time but I've been told, he never came back from Karangahape Road.

I can't remember the last time I voted for a winning selection, so given I voted for b here I'm sure that tally is right. I'm feeling very out of step with the tastes of BCB.
honestly you guys, how could you have gone for A over a list that had this glorious run:
Drive-In Saturday David Bowie
Love To Love You Baby Donna Summer
Harlem shuffle Bob & Earl
Safe From Harm Massive Attack
I despair over you lot, I really do.
