Shame these two had to meet. I shall peruse this carefully.

Actually it didn't take that long. B has some great selections and a strong additional five, but ultimately quite a bit I don't care for (The Cars, Weezer..at this stage of the competition you can't get away with those).

A seems almost calculated to appeal to everyone, maybe a little too calculated? Perhaps that's unfair. Whatever, it's a very strong team and I think it will go all the way and win the whole thing.

I don't think either are great lists but I gave it to B for these select tracks;

Talking Heads - This Must Be the Place
Velvettes - Needle in a Haystack
Clash - Straight to Hell
Go-Betweens - Cattle and Cane

A is a fine list of BCB classics but B feels more real. It definitely has a couple of "guilty pleasures" thrown in but that's exactly why it feels real, i guess.

I agree that A has the potential to win the cup though, if it goes through.

Desperately hard decision this. I've been listening to that Cookies song loads lately but objectively it's not enough to win on its own. That would be daft, especially when B's so good.

Ummm B. Some great shouts though, A.

I'm going for B here. Always a good list, and I can't vote against "Non Alignment Pact".

These two are both weaker than the others, but B has enough strong selections to carry it through.

Ah. You're taking notes. May I point out that (a) I reserve the right to be inconsistent and (b) I'm drunk.

That is all. Thank you and goodnight.

Even though List B is one which belongs to a turncoat of the highest order, I can't vote against it. When I get back from my trip, I'll write a song-by-song comparison, but now I must pack and say...

It's before my time but I've been told, he never came back from Karangahape Road.

After much dithering and indecision I'll go for A but there is very little between them.
