Two great lists but I like A's a little bit better.

Very close but it's got to be A.

B has more artists I like but goes for the wrong tracks.

A has so many good tracks, but once again, my vote is going to have to go with the one with Liquid Swords. The Pogues, Shadow, Reach Out, Clash...

Quite a bit on both lists I'm not keen on, but the highs are higher on B despite the appalling Cars.

B all the way. This was one of the easiest decisions yet, for me anyway.

Good call on Alison Krauss and Kirsty Maccoll for A but a plus vote for the Velvelettes and a minus vote for Genesis sways it B's way

Almost voted A for the Allison Krauss, but really B is better (and more intersting).

I love Jimmy Cliff, but two songs in the first fifteen is a bit OTT, isn't it?

However...A wins a close one, the deciding factors being the Dylan choice (if I hadn't been cruelly eliminated that was quite possibly in my next five) and for having the balls to include Follow You, Follow Me.

Interesting enough - or not - I changed my mind twice while writing this post.

They all seem to be very close now, and to be honest I was going to vote for B but Talking Heads lost it a couple of marks at the end and A wins out.

Despite the inclusion of two songs by one artist (a touch ezcessive) and the grand heresy that is "Follow You, Follow Me" the selection of the lovely "Stay With Me Til Dawn" wins it for:

"Not everyone is an artist but everyone is a fucking critic."
"A man may die, nations may rise and fall, but an idea lives on."
"On mellow blue, birds curve and glide, Through shadows of grief she slides,"

Some good choices on A, but the presence of Genesis and Led Zeppelin puts me off. B has less classic rock and contains several great songs, so it wins out.

What Goes On propels an already buzzing list to victory.

(I don't know why tracks on The Velvet Underground are garnering so many of my votes today, it's not even like I've been listening to it)
