I don't know all of either list, but B definitely looks the more interesting from what I do know.

Quite a few on both lists I don't really know, but B's going to win this one for me, largely due to Erik B & Rakim and Papua New Guinea.

it was the FSOL and Count Five that did it for me. Papua New Guinea is such a classic, I think I might have to give it a spin.

Much as I love that FSOL track, I know pretty much everything on A, and they are top, top selections.

A, undoubtedly.

i concur with the concensus. B for the FSOL, Roxy and Eric B and Rakim highlights, but there are a number of tracks on both i don't know.

Tight one, very easily identifiable list B but it kind of seems too studied, a few cases of the wrong tunes by the right acts. There's some nice stuff on A and it feels a lot more coherent, i can see why someone who likes one of them would like the others.

But marginally i'll give it to B, FSOL, count five and even an above average Eric B and Rakim track is still hard to beat whatever else makes up the side

B

Gets it with a list A that I'm not too familiar with.
Is the song "Zoom" in list B the same as done by Fat Larrys Band?

B. A 5-0 thrashing. Eric B, FSOL and the monstrous Psychotic Reaction & The Action. I reckon this could be the Modernist.

I only know the first four songs on A, but, jeezum crow, what songs they are! But I only know the first song on B, and it's a helluva pip. More investigation probably required, but I doubt I'll find anything better than "I Want To See The Bright Lights" from either list. A for me, then.

I'm still struggling to keep up with the past sound of London. What are FSOL like?

A

I was leaning towards B but I've just decided I think The Action and Count 5 are a little overrated. I have no idea why I suddenly decided that but there you go.

No, it's not Matt.

For its inclusion of these two absolute corkers :

The In Crowd -Ramsey Lewis
Let The Music Play -Shannon

B wins it
