A wins by default as far as I am concerned.

I shan't tell you what I think of B's list, in case B turns out to be a friend. I have so few left on the board I had better keep quiet.

B

It's a close run thing, but I simply can't vote for a list that includes Garnett Mimms, as he is so beloved of the BCB snob faction.

The Three Degrees track was rather splendid!

A is not quite as bad as B

I have these tied, but I guess overall I'll have to go with A, despite the Sparks tune.

Not much between these two lists, but A has Sparks, so:

Tough call. A took few chances. Lots of soul, which certainly is good by me, but it's hard to want to reward a list with so many sure things. Nobody's getting turned on to anything new there, outside of the excellent Harold Jackson and Dee Sharp tracks.

B digs deeper, but not all of it works (and some of it is kind of middling). Plus points for the Three Degrees, Poppy Family, Isley's, X, Sinatra/Jobim - minus points for that awful opening song.

Either way I vote, I'll hate myself in the morning. Gonna go with A I suppose. This many rounds in (and with only 10 songs), a winning list should be pretty fat free.
The opinions of this poster are subjective. That’s how opinions work.

Well done to both, a lot of great stuff.

I could go for either one depending on my mood at any given moment. A, inspired Sparks pick and that Jackson cut is a real burner. B, excellent 3 Degrees choice and to seal it with 'No Jive' is a move right after my own heart.

Right now, i think...

B

Congrats and well done to whichever of you gets to hold up the silverware.

Well done to both. I think I've voted for B in every round and I'm not going to change here.

It was wasn't it? I really didn't expect that. It is the same group that did the dreadful "When Will I See You Again" isn't it?
