Oooh, neither is really making the kind of replacements I was hoping to see. OK, A's Dream Syndicate choice is nice. B still has the better list overall, despite the Feelies. I suspect this is the last vote of mine either of these lists will get.

Both of have blown it to be honest and have the feel of having got further than they expected. I guess the really strong lists will be drawn together tomorrow.
B's best track is Magic Potion..or it was when myself, Goat Boy and Penk used to pick it all those years ago. I'm getting bored of seeing B's tracks now..Bikini Kill and Fleetwood Mac ain't that fucking good.

A deserves to win just for picking that fantastic Irma Thomas track. Shame about The Angels Of Death Metal who would be much more interesting if they were death metal and not some tired Stones tribute act. Lose that if you get through.

Piss poor lists and it's a wonder they made it this far.

At this stage of the comp I though the lists would be a lovely distillation, all clear and on point but, no.

A's screwed up with some poor additions which throw the remaining tunes into grim relief, always dug that Strummer tune tho'.

B feels a tad more solid but slips up with Pharos/Feelies/Bikini Kill but gets it by default.

Maybe I was harsh on B, my usurper, in my very bitter recrim. Then again, it still seems wonky and uneven. I like A more; I had The Impressions and the Everly Brothers on my long list and I like a good few of it's other choices, though it peters away badly.

The highs are high and the lows are deep lows on both lists...Mansun's piece of overblown cack threw me right off breakfast. Irma, Ride and the Dream Syndicate are like the first cup of coffee in the morning though.
I have plenty of time for The Feelies and coupled with the Stones, War and Abyssinians are enjoyable enough. Couldn't open my mind far enough to care for the Kill, Young and Pharos but it's a bit more enjoyable to me right now.

Still worried I've made the wrong choice in Match 1. Not as gripped by this match, but don't really like B's replacements.

So A but like G, I don't think that Eagles of Death Metal thing is a keeper.

The Big Grunt train finally runs out of steam. Too many average white boys with guitars. B is not much better but it's better.

The Big Grunt thing is a great visual thing - the first time I saw it I flipped, it's great fun. But it's not a very good song.
