Might be the two best remaining lists.

B's remarkable run ends here for me. I still like it a lot, but "Angel Baby" is just plain not that good, and some of the rest are nice choices, but there's not a lot I truly love here. A, however, has great Traffic, Temptations and Heron choices, sticks by the Goat in the face of (silly, if you ask me) opposition to it, and adds the charming Sagittarius and my favorite 'post-modern' Waits song. We'll see what happens, but I might stick with this one to the end.

I'm finding it hard to separate these two. I think I'll go B if only because Hatz feels A is better. He's usually wrong on these things. A is good but a bit stodgy in the middle.

B, just.

I'm not sure I'd invite either to my party.

Not a huge difference here, I suppose the stinkers on B pong a bit more. I get a little bit more of a vibe from A.

A's gotten rid of Spacemen 3 and replaced with bloody Traffic? Francoise Hardy for Little Barrie is hardly an improvement either. This will not do.
Silver Machine feels a bit like the elephant in the room on list B but the elements of survival are still vastly in place...

I've spent about three-quarters of an hour on this. There is really nothing wrong with A at all, and I've been voting for Goat all the way :)

But there's something about B appealing to me more. The high point being the Creation, and I really liked the Incredible String Band choice (I couldn't open the Prince one though).

Sad to ditch A, but:

These are emblematic of a largely disappointing Cup. Wildly uneven, obscure in places yet not particularly interesting. I'm not sure if the new format has had an influence. Anyway, the better of these is B.

Edit: that's not to say they're bad lists, per se. Actually like both of these better than both in M2.

B has Iggy Pop, a track I don't hate by Prince and a really, genuinely great track by the Clean -- those of you who have dissed that track in prior rounds have issues with your mental faculties. (But for fucksake, lose 801 if you survive this round).

A had nothing I went wow over. Some okay stuff...the lows were less low...but there weren't any highs for me.
