Two very good and complimentary lists.

A, with the fine James Brown choice and the Fairports track, has two of my very favourite songs. The Everlys tune almost made my list so, well done, and The Byrds is first rate too.

B has, for me, a tiny bit more. The tracks it picks are big colours, full-strength stuff. I like that, it's not pandering. It also contains the marvellous James Blake choice, his one real doozy.

It's pretty close but B
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

I like both of these, but A is like B's hipper older brother. Liquid Liquid is a very smart pick for those in the know. Overall i prefer A's better reach and imagination, though B probably has more populist appeal which will probably see it go through.

Good lists, these two. Hard to pick out any weak spots; likewise hard to pick a winner. Ultimately B is just about doing it for me today, but on another day I could have gone the other way.

Close but A is just a little bit groovier - that Brown performance is one of my favourite things ever.

A is more ambitious and satisfying.

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

Well, there's no way I'm voting for B, is there? even if Double Dutch has been removed. Anyway I voted for A before and still like it.

If it had had Double Dutch, I may have voted for it.
