Having a lot of trouble working this out, so I'm borrowing a riff from Copehead

List A

1. Black Sabbath - Paranoid :)
2. Pharos - Pintor :) :)
3. Bikini Kill - Rebel Girl :) :)
4. Fleetwood Mac - Bare Trees :)
5. The Creation - Painter Man :x Never got the appeal of this band
6. Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Cortez the Killer :D :D :D
7. Skatalites - Confucius :)
8. Chuck Brown & The Soul Searchers - Bustin Loose :x :x :x Did they ever find it, I wonder?
9. Echo & The Bunnymen - Villiers Terrace :|
10. The Damned - Fan Club :) Right band wrong song

List B
Up The Wooden Hills To Bedfordshire, The Small Faces :) Right band wrong song
People Make The World Go Round, The Stylistics :)
Bedsitter, Soft Cell :D
Three Hours, Nick Drake :x  :? All right until he started to sing. Sorry, but he is one of a handful of acts who just get on my tits. But I did listen to more than half of it
Fairchild, Willie West :) :) Nice surprise
Modern World, The Modern Lovers :D :D (there's about 15 JR songs that would have got the third :D )
Myth, Beach House :D :D Really nice surprise. Sounds very much like Mono in VCF, which is all to the good. I just ordered their albums
7 Heure Du Matin, Jacqueline Taieb :x
Why Can't We Live Together, Timmy Thomas :? Nice voice, pretty song, but I'm not liking the playing much
Fanfare, Eric Matthews :|

There was a while there when I thought the excellence of the mid-section would force me to vote for a list featuring the Bedwetter Bard over one containing Cortez, but I didn't like the ending much, so, with apologies to B for my irrational hatred of Mimsy Nick, I'm going for
A,
but Villiers Terrace is getting old and there's just so much funky snoozling I can take before madness sets in

Between the two of these there's a lot to like. Feeling A a little more though

There's too much on A I find a bit meh despite some highlights, but B while lacking a total Wow factor doesn't drop the ball at all and one of the new finds of the cup for me has been that Jaqueline Taieb, usually anything French really winds me up with its pretentiousness (step forward Mr Gainsbourg) but that is great.

I don't think I've ever agreed with a single thing Rayge has said about music.

A is a strong rock list, while B delves into disputed pop waters. I feel like I want to applaud B's spirit, but A has absolutely splendid choices. Harsh, but it's A

Wow this was tight.

I make this 22 all as NG's vote was after the deadline.

I was confused as to when deadline was seeing at they went up in the middle of the night (for those of us that flake out on the sofa at 10pm) an Andrew had voted, but not scored them.

It's kinda depressing for a music forum to be proud of not knowing musicians.

I agree with Moddie - this is a 22-22 tie. Replay is needed (and indeed one of the competitors has already chosen their replay song!).
