A just has more for me, though the Eric Matthews and Nick Drake (and even Small Faces) picks are nice ones.

Didn't expect to like the Bikini Kill, but I do. That's also my favorite Damned song.

A - there's only really the Bikini Kill and the Skatalites that don't tickle me.

That's a great Stylistics number tho' B, and top choices from Modern Lovers and Soft Cell.

Two similar lists. A doesn't really go for it, it's a middling kind of list really, inoffensive. Think B has a surer hand and digs deeper.

Both lists could do with a bit of improvement.

I'm nuts for that Timmy Thomas track! It's fiendishly subtle. It sounds like Shuggie Otis from the same period: technology?

There is animadversion with regard to certain picks by A

A, of all the Sab songs, WHY 'Paranoid'? Not 'Spiral Architect'. Not 'Supertzar'. Not 'Symptom of The Universe'.

'Paranoid'.

BAD A!!! BAD!!! NO!!! (rubs nose in it).

That being said, the rest of your list is pretty good. I was going to call out 'Cortez' for the same reason, but that shit kicks ass, so whatever. Still, your canonical picks are your weakest. Where you do reach, you usually win, but I don't feel like you're reaching enough.

B seems to check all the right stylistic boxes, though some of it's genre picks are weak. I'm looking at you, Willie West. This list goes significantly deeper, I think, and might do with more rawk to suit my taste. I did enjoy the Eric Matthews tune, and Jacqueline Taieb's eminently kissable lips.

Sigh. Playing against my usual type, it's B.
Freak out. Far out.

Another one I've spent too much time thinking about. A Still can't see how it's better than mine.

2 good lists that i like about the same again, with both highs and lows, but where A is a bit obvious B goes to some unexpected but nice spots. I like that.

A has a couple of good selections but isn't very exciting on the whole. B is more my speed, with good choices from Drake, the Modern Lovers and of course Willie West. I enjoyed Timmy Thomas as well, although Eric Matthews is a "file under Wilco" one for me: well-crafted, intelligent, but completely uninvolving.

Awful thing when that happens. I had a similar experience at a Tom Jones concert.

I'm close to abstaining on this one. Just not much in either list that makes it a go-ahead like in other draws.

A after quite some deliberating.

Had to vote against B in a tight match-up in a previous round but it's miles in front here. Good on yer for picking "Fanfare".

I like B. It even has a song by a current band that I like (Beach House). The Eric Matthews tune is good as well. And Fairchild of course. Nice.
