Maybe because they've been outside at some point during the last 40 years. I do like A (particularly the African stuff) but its only nod to music created during my lifetime was made by a pensioner.

They both have a lot of good stuff, but I'll have to choose:

A

When a piece of music was created says nothing about its quality.

That's true, but since when is the Cup about quality only? A lacks breadth. It looks like a mummy's list, carved in hieroglyphs. I don't love either list, but as it is, while B misses on some picks, it at least offers a more diverse palate.

No, but as a man in his early 30's, I'm going to vote for music that I connect with, that means something to me, rather than 'worthy' stuff from the archives. As I said, I like list A, but at the end of the day I'd rather listen to 90s techno than crackly blues.

It's kinda depressing for a music forum to be proud of not knowing musicians.

Fairly clear, this, and it's not good news for blues lovers: A 20, B 24. A was geezee (and zphage's vote was too late).

Because not everybody likes the same things in music, you daft twonk.

Not necessarily better or worse than yours. Just different. Is it really that hard to understand?
