Yes, but he doesn't know what's on Machuki's list does he? So how can he assess its chances of winning?

Course and distance favourite.

I don't think so but he did win twice in a row.

No chance. His list is shit this year.

He's right.
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

There's hardly any lists left worthy of the completion. Some may improve but nearly all (but not all ) the lists I liked have been culled. Genuinely interested to see what kind of winner we end up with.

Here's my next round list:

Tame Impala - Mind Mischief
The Small Faces - Lazy Sunday
Can - Father Cannot Yell
The Shangri-la's - I Can Never Go Home Anymore
Baby Huey - Listen To Me
The Gun Club - She's Like Heroin to Me
Fela Kuti - Zombie
Echo & the Bunnymen - Crystal Days
William Bell - You Don't Miss Your Water
Daft Punk - Instant Crush

What do I win?

I enjoy the ranting and mock-bitterness but every year there seems to be more of what you might call rancour, real spite and bitchiness. It's enough to make me seriously reconsider....and then of course by the time it rolls around again next year, you forget.

I don't think it's any worse this year than any other. I did feel a bit sorry for Nick , I think people went over the top with his list..but generally it hasn't seemed so bad this year.

Don't mind the rancour. As long as it's not rancor.

I didn't know he still posted here.
It's kinda depressing for a music forum to be proud of not knowing musicians.
