Extremely close, but I'd rather suffer through Hüsker Du than bcb faves The Smiths. B it is.

You can just ignore individual songs instead of trashing whole lists just because they include one of your shitlist bands like the Smiths or the Doors.

Anyway, both good lists and I'll need to check out some of the links before voting.

It's kinda depressing for a music forum to be proud of not knowing musicians.

A starts well but loses me with the 4th and 5th tracks and struggles to recover. No such issues with B and its always good to see that Phil Upchurch track.

After all that, you're right. I got distracted by the fact the Neneh Cherry track was one I was thinking of as a possible pick. It's a belter and there's some other good stuff on A. But, yes, B is stronger all in.

I loved them both. Too close to call it tonight....

...ok, A

For the Neneh Cherry, Sammy Salvo and Radkey's refreshing new punk.

That Sammy Salvo track is wonderful- I almost want to give it to A just for that. But it's let down by too much stuff that's either dull or predictable. And 'right artist, wrong tune' stuff like the Cooder.

B is much more my speed. That Heptones track in particular is glorious. And great Small Faces (not always the case for me) and Gene Clark (pretty much always the case for me) tracks.

A is okay with a couple of clangers (Radkey, Sammy Salvo). B is a quality list. Russell Morris! Well played mate.

A is a good list that's come up against an even better one. It's Woolworth's Pick'n'Mix against a box of Quality Street and it's

B

I like that Bill Riley & the Little Green Men track.
