I hate to reward B for sticking to such a narrow period, but I can't deny that every single song's at least decent, and some of the newer ones are great.

That said, it barely beats A, which has taken more chances and, while hitting less often, seems more idiosyncratic.

I've voted for A at least once before, but not today.

A is a broader list and I like this as the Cup sinks into a predictable good taste mire. Both have picks that improve on match 3, though.

As far as I can see the most recent song on B was recorded forty years ago. I quite like the variety on A anyway so it would have got my vote even had it not come up against a theme list.

This is tough. B certainly has the better additions (that Q-Tip track really goes nowhere), but I think I just about prefer A overall as it's less tied to the idea of a classic period. Both have many good songs it must be said.

Despite this, A has my vote.

It's Quite Good.

An interesting call... but not one i'd strictly agree with. They may come from the late-60s/early-70s but the range of sounds is ok, and this is BCB after all.

That said i think i like A a bit more, plus it has Grant Green.
